I met Austin over a year ago while visiting Smutsville Primary School located in Sedgefield, South Africa. Reinet Barnes, the Director of the Volunteer Clinic at the school introduced Austin to me and explained to me that he had an eye condition that needed surgery to correct his vision.

Austin has been on a waiting list at the local medical clinic for several years. The bottom line is, when you have no money, you remain at the bottom of the list and stay there.

From Us With Love gave a voice to Austin’s plea for help and I am happy to report that Austin will be receiving his eye surgery tomorrow. I will be with Austin next month and I can’t wait to see the impact this will have on his life.
