While From Us With Love was at Percy Mdala High School in Knysna, South Africa, we became aware of a problem with their government feeding scheme.
Percy Mdala High School has 1465 students. The government feeding scheme at the school only provides enough food for approximately 300 of them. This means, unless you are a fast runner or large enough to withstand the pushing when the bell sounds, your not going to receive any food that day.
How do you tell children who can eat and who can’t? I will be visiting the school in April in the hopes of helping to find a solution so that all the students can have a meal at school.
