Bongiorno!

The first days of the Homeless World Cup have been beautiful and inspiring. The South African team is doing well, winning their last game against Japan 17-1! They speak of realizing their self-worth through their loss and successes, as well as through the relationships they have made. My favorite quote from the week so far is from Martin Afrika:

“I will never go back to my backstreets, I’d rather take the front streets where all the people walk and I say, ‘Hi. Here I am.’”
